You'd think it would be the simplest thing; I have a website that will accept credit card payments using 2Checkout.com. I want to create a purchase using my personal credit card, so I can experience the entire purchasing experience from end to end (including monthly rebilling) and so that I can troubleshoot any integration problems.

Think that'd be a big deal? I didn't think so - but it turns out to be impossible. I ask you - would you be happy going live with a purchasing system that you couldn't fully test? It scares the pants off me. I'm pretty confident that it will work; I've religiously followed their specs, developed the integration code test-first, and manually tested as much of the process as 2CO will let me.

But still ... I won't sleep well at night until I've seen the first batch of payments go through correctly.

Update 18/07/2008: It turns out I was given false information by one of the support people (details here), and that it's possible to do end-to-end testing. I'll be getting this set up this evening and trying again.
